Questions & Answers
Does Trane offer an Extended Warranty?
Trane offers an Optional Extended Warranty for both new purchases and products purchased within the last five years.
An extended warranty protects your investment and gives you peace of mind for the long run. If you didn’t purchase an optional extended warranty when you bought your system, it’s not too late. If your unit or system is less than 5 years old, you can still purchase one. If you currently have an optional extended warranty and require service, just call the dealer listed on your agreement and he’ll take care of you. If you are unable to contact your assigned servicer, call any Trane dealer listed under the Trane listing in your local Yellow Pages or use our dealer locator for assistance.
Optional Extended Warranty
The Trane Extended Warranty coverage includes:
- Option to purchase coverage in five (5)- or ten (10)-year increments* to cover parts only or parts and labor for the duration of the agreement. The option to purchase coverage on equipment that has been installed for less than 5 years is also available. Some restrictions apply.
- Fully transferable to the new owner if property is sold.
- Built-in product replacement advantage
Please note that routine maintenance is required as recommended in the owner's guide to ensure proper performance of the equipment. Repairs that are required due to lack of routine maintenance are not covered by the Trane Extended Warranty Agreement. Your independent Trane dealer can provide routine maintenance. A range of coverage options and features are available. For more information, contact your independent Trane dealer.
*Renewal is at the sole option of Trane Standard Warranty Company.
